Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve

On a fine spring Sunday I decided to take a hike and explore this gem of ours – the California Poppy Reserve. It was a nice bright spring morning and the poppies are at bloom.  A mixture of orange, yellow and blue colors that peppered a green  landscape. It was a joy to see the dance of colors – Spring is here.

The scenery reminded me of one of Claude Monet’s paintings  “The Poppy Field, near Argenteuil”.

While hiking  I can picture Monet on one of the hills – painting .  Putting to canvas the poppies dotting the fields.

Hiking Details can be found  on Modern Hiker,

It was one of the best experiences I ever had. I will most certainly make it a habit to start spring by visiting this wonderful place. As always – Happy Trails !!!
